Simon and Amanda, Company Directors
"Before Your Nice Apartment we were TV Directors/Producers and began our working life at Granada Television. Our TV careers took us all over the world working on entertainment, sports, fashion and travel programmes for over 15 years. It was an amazing time so why did we change?
Our bug for travelling resulted in us taking a year out to venture round the world to some pretty amazing places and we met some pretty interesting people along the way.
After so much travelling we understood the limitations of staying in a hotel and appreciated the convenience of self catering rentals. We've always found hotels a bit impersonal, especially after a couple of nights and love the freedom of getting up for breakfast when you want, cooking if you choose, lounging on a sofa watching a DVD after a day sightseeing. We even rented an apartment for a week from a local hairdresser in Southern India so weren't tied to eating out every night and found it a great way to experience local life.
When we returned to the UK we loved the idea of spending more time in a sociable travel environment and decided it was time for a change so we started Your Nice Apartment."
Lulu Prutton, Business Support Manager
Lulu worked as a tv producer and for a UK broadcaster, but her passion for travel and property have led her to join us at YNA.
She is another passionate explorer and has travelled throughout Europe, South Africa, Australisia and Asia and her tv career has enabled her to work in many countries producing holiday guides for Thomas Cook and Expedia.
"I have been choosing apartments over hotels for many years whether travelling for work or pleasure because I believe it affords all the luxury of a hotel with the flexibility of my own space. At the end of a hard day working or a full day sight seeing or sunbathing, I know an apartment is the perfect place to retreat to, in which I can eat, socialise or relax. It caters for every mood and for that time I'm away it's my home from home".
She is now keen to share this passion with others and is available to answer your questions before and during your booking. Another of her passions is property, having built up a portfolio in the UK and in France. Her experience and passion as both an owner and holiday-maker ensures she's able to help with guests and owners questions.
Joanna has many years experience working in the service industry. She is meticulous and has an eye for detail which comes in very handy when ensuring your accommodation is well prepared and you are well looked after on your arrival. After graduating from university she worked as a teacher and accountant in her home country, Poland.
“The need for a change made me leave to study English in London. I went for a year and loved it so much that I stayed over six years.
I worked in many restaurants as a waitress, supervisor and finally Restaurant Manager. I loved catering, working in a busy environment with many people from all over the world providing great customer service. Then I met this French guy and came to see his hometown, Nice. Exactly one year after that I found myself moving here. I think Nice is a great place to live and to spend holidays. There is great weather for more than 7 months a year, beautiful sea and close to the Alpes, Italy and Corse, delicious 'cuisine'. There's just so many beautiful places to visit around.
I love traveling myself and I think that renting an apartment for your holiday gives you more freedom and "at home" feeling at the same time. I think that our apartments are in great locations that make it very easy to explore Nice and the whole Côte D'Azur”.
Many of you will meet Joanna on your arrival in Nice and we are proud to have her as part of the Your Nice Apartment team.
Bart is born and bred in Nice. After graduating he needed to experience something different than his birth place so he went to London and worked in the Service industry for 5 years. He is also the 'French Guy' that our Nice Manager Joanna met!
"Meeting people from so many different places made me more open and hungry for discovering new places and cultures. Renting an apartment is a great way to discover things by yourself and see things from a different angle. I love the idea of being at home in a foreign country. I left London to return to a less frenetic pace of life in Nice. I could tell you things for hours about Nice. Instead I want to tell you about Nice's countryside. Half an hour away by car or bus you have access to hills, harbouring some of the most wonderful and stunning villages. From Eze with its jawdropping view over the coast, to Saint Paul de Vence and its streets made famous by the numerous artists taking refuge in one of the most charming village of the Côte d'Azur there is just so much to see and experience."
If you get to meet Bart at a meet and greet then take advantage of his passion for the Cote d'Azur! Bart co-managers many of our Nice properties with his partner Joanna. He also comes from a sales and marketing background so is now our New Owner Relations Manager. So, if you have an apartment or villa to rent with us then Bart is eager to help you get the best out of our service plus can help you organise your utilities, internet, syndic meetings after your have purchased your property. Which can be a great help when you have little time or the language is a barrier.
Not to be rude, but Richard is the last person you want to see on your holiday, as it means your apartment has a problem. Our apartments and villas are constantly well serviced and receive a thorough inspection every year, when they are assessed for improvements and maintenance. But, sometimes unavoidable problems arise and be assured it's Richard you want knocking at your door. He is a qualified electrician, plumber and renovator and so far has pretty much solved any problem put in front of him.
" I worked for many years as an engineer on large Yachts and worked in many countries. Finally I settled in Nice and started my own company renovating properties and providing maintenance for rental properties. Nice and the Riviera is a fabulous place to live and the weather cannot be faulted"
Richard is another well travelled member of our team that has settled in Nice. Born in England, but brought up in Nairobi, Kenya, Richard is bi-lingual and speaks French, Italian and Swahili. Richard is friendly and accommodating and understands it's your holiday and is quick to respond to any issues you may have.

"I love both of my job that allow me to meet people coming from all over the world.I'm travelling without moving! We are closed to everything: the sea, the countryside and Cannes! The French Riviera is just idyllic to live in. It's a region with a lot to experience: italian taste-like food, its cultural traditions, its situation in between the sea and the mountains, its perfect weather conditions and of course its various cultural activities! A lot of celebrities coming from various domains passed by the French Riviera: Cézanne, Picasso, Matisse, Renoir, Cocteau...that's for a good reason!"
If you're staying in Cannes then take you couldn't wish for a more perfect and cheery host, so during your meet and greet make sure you make the most out of Amelies good nature and knowledge of the area.
Ronny is originally from Norway and worked as a designer living in Paris and Oslo and eventually branched out into designing and renting out apartments,
"I just love the sea and the mountains.. on the French Riviera you have both close by. Coming from the norwegian countryside to live in the centre of Paris for many years made me realise how much I missed these things, so I managed to convince
Lia (my wife who loves Paris) to leave everything to live in Nice. Here you have a great city surrounded by nature, mountains, sea and cosy little villages to visit close by. I loving working with details, design and making places where people feel at home as well as assuring that they have a nice time while being away. Plus its a great benefit meeting so many great people doing this work, being clients, homeowners or others."
Ronny is a incredibly concientous part of our team and we re very glad to have him on board.
