Eve has the advantage of being high up in a very traditional Old Town building. This means it has the benefit of a cool breeze passing over the rooftops and into the apartment. It has cool white tiled floors and has a homely feel with French inspired furnishings. Overlooking the bustling pedestrian Rue de la Préfecture in the Old Town, we think you’ll find it hard to resist the many restaurants, boutiques and food shops below. Neighbourhood
Set in the heart of the picturesque Old Town, Rue de la Préfecture is the central hub of the old town and from here the famous Cours Saleya marketplace, promenade and beach are only 2 minutes walk away. Around the corner the breathtaking Place de Palais is a wonderful square with an ornate fountain set outside the halls of justice surrounded by fantastic Niçoise restaurants and a weekly market selling books and art.

The bedroom has a king size wrought iron bed with good quality mattress and a double wardrobe.

The en-suite bathroom is fully tiled with a full sized bath and overhead shower, sink unit and toilet.
Living Area
The open plan main living area has two French windows looking out over traditional Niçoise buildings. There is a 3 seater sofa bed and a 16” LCD TV (French channels) and DVD player with a selection of DVDs provided.
Kitchen
The kitchen has a 4 ring electric cooker with oven and under the counter fridge-freezer. There is also a 2 seater oak breakfast bar on which to enjoy warm croissants in the morning. The kitchen is also equipped with a kettle, toaster, and cafetière.
Dining Area
The dining area has a glass 4 seater dining table and chairs.
Parking
Free parking in Nice can be difficult to find. There is a pay as you go underground car park at the Place du Palais, the entrance is on Rue Alexandre Mari. There is also one on the Cours Saleya, the entrance is on Rue Saint François de Paule. Go to www.plan-nice.org for a map of all car parks in Nice.
Public Transport
The 98 airport bus runs from the Airport through the centre of Nice and terminates in the Port. Bus stop 'Cathédrale - Vieille Ville' is your nearest bus stop. Gare SNCF Nice Ville train station is a good 20 minute walk. You can use the tram to get there. Tram stop 'Opéra' is your closest stop. This is at the bottom of Rue de la Préfecture on Avenue Jean Jaurès. It is less than a 5 minute journey to the train station. Visit www.lignesdazur.com for more information. Taxi rank Hotel Meridien is closest and is opposite McDonald’s at the Hotel Meridien. Taxis can also pick up/drop off at your request at Place du Palais, very close to your rental apartment.

The total price of this apartment includes crisp white Egyptian cotton linen for one double bed and fluffy cotton towels for 2 people. If you require extra linen and towels for the sofa bed there is an extra 30€ charge.

Turn left out of the apartment and you will find a cosy restaurant bathed in a red glow called Tire Bouchon. It has a really good value 3 course menu, the food is delicious and it’s lovely for a romantic meal or special occasion.

What a superb location! The apartment is in one of the most lively street of the Old Town. We tried most of its restaurants and all of them were great!!! Everything is at walking distance. Right from the beginning we felt like we were part of this sunny city.
