Neighbourhood
Rue du Malonat is a quiet and charming street that continues on from one of the most characterful streets in the Old Town, Rue de la Préfecture. Step out from the tranquillity of your apartment and you are moments away from an abundance of cafes, bistros, brasseries and boutiques. You won’t go hungry either with boulangeries, pasta shops, wine caves and the daily fresh food market on the Cours Saleya on your doorstep. To top all this the promenade and beach are a couple of minutes walk away.
Bedrooms
The spacious double bedroom boasts a stunning exposed original stone back wall and oak beams. It’s beautifully and simply decorated to allow the ornate French style chest of drawers to stand out.

Leading on from the bedroom there is a stunning walk-in shower room in dark grey slate tiles with accent stone details on the floor and around the hand basin.
Living Area
The main living area is a fantastic open plan space and has been furnished with modern and contemporary finishings. The main feature in the lounge area has to be the stunning dark wood beams highlighted by spotlights and stretching across the high sloping ceiling. Windows are internally facing so there is no natural light but plenty of light from the spotlights. This is a really comfortable area to lounge on the large 3 seater sofa and enjoy the LCD TV (French channels), DVD player and CD player with a selection of DVDs and music provided.
Kitchen
The kitchen has deep red gloss and frosted glass units and houses an integrated 4 ring electric hob and combination oven/grill, under the counter fridge-freezer and washing machine. It is fully equipped with kettle, cafetière, a large selection of crockery and utensils.
Dining Area
The beech dining table and black leather chairs more than comfortably seat 4 people.
Parking
Free parking in Nice can be difficult to find. There is a pay as you go underground carpark at the Place du Palais, the entrance is on Rue Alexandre Mari. There is also one on the Cours Saleya , the entrance is on Rue Saint François de Paule. Go to www.plan-nice.org for a map of all car parks in Nice.
Public Transport
The 98 airport bus runs from the Airport through the centre of Nice and terminates in the Port. Bus stop 'Cathédrale - Vieille Ville' is your nearest bus stop. Gare SNCF Nice Ville train station is a good 20 minute walk. You can use the tram. Tram stop 'Opéra' is your closest stop. This is at the bottom of Rue de la Préfecture on Avenue Jean Jaurès. It is less than a 5 minute journey to the train station. Visit www.lignesdazur.com for more information. Taxi rank Hotel Meridien is closest and is opposite McDonald’s at the Hotel Meridien. Taxis can also pick up/drop off at your request at Place du Palais, very close to your rental apartment.

This very comfortable, spacious apartment is a great base from which to explore the Old town and the Sea front. We got a great welcome pack and lovely bottle of wine, Simon and Amanda exceeded our expectations and were very helpful.
