First a warning - its on the 4th floor of a typical Nicoise building with no lift. Myself and exercise have never been friends so it can be tough especially with shopping but otherwise I couldnt recommend it enough. It is a studio - well thought out. A modern Ikea-esque kitchen and dining area, A small but perfectly adequate bathroom. Tv played Dvd's only which was a god send as it rained during my stay - they even provide a selection of Dvd's with a Franch theme esp Ronin which was filmed outside the front door! The sofa is a sofa bed - but by god! It has to be the comfied bed I ever slept in - I thought it might be an inconvenience having to lift it out each night and put it away every morning but I didnt even think about it. We cooked dinner a few nights and went to Monoprix at Place Garibaldi which was amazing. We also got a Rotisserie Chicken from a local butchers. My top tip...Resto Wine Notes at 6 Rue de Reparte. (Out the front door, turn right, go across the square) and there is the most intimate wine bar just past the shops on the left hand side. The hostess really knows her stuff about wine ...the beer with Lemon Sirop was my fave! Also - Le Cocdile...past the Negresco on Quai des Etats...best Steak Frites known to man. If you explore the area there is some amazing places - the Cours Saleya is a big draw but if you want to become Nicose ...explore and see what you can find. Our flight with Jet2 was delayed so we ended up paying a late fee when we arrived after 12midnight but someone still came to meet us.

Turn right out of the apartment and you will find yourself at Place Rossetti – home to the ice cream vendors. Fenocchios is the busiest and most famous and sells over 70 flavours. But we think give some of the smaller ones a try in Rue Sainte Réparate.
