Neighbourhood
Carré d'Or is a vibrant area of Nice which is in part pedestrianised. You’re one block back from the beach and the famous Negresco hotel. Walk down Rue de France and the street soon gets busier with paveside cafés and restaurants and boutique and designer shops. A 5 minute waslk and you’ll eventually arrive at Place Masséna across from which you’ll find Nices’ famous Old Town. This is a central location to enjoy this varied and lively city.

The bedroom has a double bed and air conditioning plus double glazed windows. There is a spacious wardrobe with hanging and shelf space in the hallway next to the bedroom.

The open plan main living area is light and modern with wooden floors and air conditioning. It has a high quality sofa bed in the lounge area and the French doors lead onto the balcony for two. There is 28” LCD screen TV (French channels only) and DVD player for you to enjoy.

The modern cream kitchen has a large fridge-freezer, washing machine, 4 ring hob and a microwave oven. It is fully equipped with a kettle, cafetière and a large selection of cooking equipment.

Parking
Free parking in Nice can be difficult to find. There is a pay as you go car park at Palais Masséna at 29 Promenade des Anglais or Palais de la Méditerranée on Rue du Congres. Go to www.plan-nice.org for a map of all car parks in Nice.
Public Transport
If arriving on the 98 airport bus your nearest bus stop is 'Congrès/Promenade' outside hotel 'Palais de la Méditerranée' on Promenade des Anglais. Gare SNCF Nice Ville train station is a good 15 minute walk. But you can use the tram. Tram stop 'Masséna' is your closest stop and is a 5 minute walk to/ from the apartment. Taxi rank Hotel Meridien is closest and is opposite McDonald’s at the Hotel Meridien, a 5 minute walk from Your Nice Apartment.

The total price of this apartment includes crisp white Egyptian cotton linen for one double bed and fluffy cotton towels for 2 people. If you require extra linen and towels for the sofa bed there is an extra 30 € charge.

Turn right outside your front door and a minute walk away is 'Havana', a lively Cuban bar and restaurant. It’s a great place to sit outside and enjoy a cocktail before your night really begins or go inside and enjoy some tasty latino fayre.

I have recently returned from two weeks in Nice, staying at Apartment Rose on the Rue de France. The apartment is in a great location, very central with masses of restaurants, bars and shops all around, and is extremely comfortable with all mod cons and a great TV to veg out in front of after all that sightseeing. Simon and Amanda are charming and could not have been more helpful.
