Massena is decorated in coffee and cream and has a warm almost zen like feel to it. It also has the advantage of being surprisingly large for a one bedroom apartment and has fully double glazed windows throughout and air conditioning. It's located on the pedestrian zone, so although the streets have a wonderful atmosphere at night with busy restaurants, street entertainers and shops there are no cars. So noise is not a problem here.
Neighbourhood
Carre D’or is in the centre of Nice and the pedestrian zone runs right through the heart of it. The pedestrian zone is packed with busy restaurants, shops and cafes. It is lively but not noisy.
You are a moments walk away from the main high street Avenue Jean Medicin and shopping in two excellent food halls in Nice at Galeries Lafayetes and Monoprix. You will find yourself a couple of blocks and a 3 minute walk from the beach and you are next to one of the leafiest exclusive shopping streets in Nice – Rue Alphonse Karr. The Old Town is approximately a 5 minute walk across the impressive Place Massena.

The bedroom is at the rear of the apartment and is light, spacious with a good quality double bed, large storage wardrobe and double glazed windows.

The modern tiled bathroom has a good size shower cubicle, vanity area, toilet and bidet plus a cupboard housing the washing machine.

The open plan lounge area is light and airy and has a 4 seater sofa bed, air-conditioning and ash wooden floors. You can enjoy 28” LCD TV, DVD that plays European PAL and radio/ MP3 dock. The lounge has 2 large double glazed French windows that overlook Rue Massena and the pedestrian zone.
Kitchen
The modern white kitchen is well equipped and has a four ring electric hob and oven, large fridge freezer, dishwasher, electric kettle and cafetiére.

There is a large round white dining table and four chairs in the open plan living area.
Parking
Free parking in Nice can be difficult to find. There is a pay as you go underground carpark at Grimaldi on Rue Maccarani. Goto www.plan-nice.org for a map of all car parks in Nice.
Public Transport
If arriving on the 98 airport bus your closest bus stop is at Casino Ruhl Meridian/ Macdonalds on Promenade de Anglais.
Gare Routiere bus station is approximately a 10 minute walk away.
Gare SNCF Nice Ville train station is a 10 minute walk.
If you are using the tram your nearest stop is Place Massena outside of Galleries Lafayete department store.
Taxi’s can pick up/drop off at your request at your rental apartment. The most convenient point is Place Grimaldi –this is the next road North of Rue Massena.

Love ice cream! Love chocolat! then you have to go to Amorino – Gelato Italiano. This high end ice cream shop is way too good to miss. It’s right next door to your apartment.
They have a large selection of flavours but chocolate is their speciality. If you’re feeling brave then try socaccina - an icecream sandwich and the hot chocolate in winter is to die for!.
