Portobello is a little gem if you don't want to break the bank but want every box ticked when it comes to those added comforts. Balcony, air conditioning and a lift will combine to make your stay a more comfortable one. It's situated an easy 20 - 25 minute walk from the Port and the Old Town and the tram runs close by so this makes dipping into the Old Town very easy if you don't fancy walking. The best bit is it is directly across the road from Riquier train station where you can hop on all the important trains to explore the French Riviera with ease.
Neighbourhood
Portobello is in the Port area. It is set back from the water front and the area becomes quite local which is great if you want to experience some real French charm. There are many local wine caves, boulangeries and restaurants in the area and a large hypermarket Carrefour a 2 minute walk away. Riquier train station is across the road so you have easy access to the entire French Riviera and across to Italy for a day trip if you wish. The Port water side is a 15 minute walk and the Old Town is a 20-25 minute walk. The tram runs close by.
Bedrooms
The bedroom has an excellent quality double bed and mattress, pine furniture and a sliding wardrobe. There is air conditioning and a French door leading out on the balcony and the room has wind down blinds.
Bathrooms
The clean and modern white bathroom has a full bath and overhead shower and vanity unit. There is a separate WC.
Living Area
The open plan living area has two comfortable sofas, one of which is a sofa bed. There are views of the rooftops of Nice and French doors leading out onto the balcony. The balcony has a wrought iron table and four chairs. There is a small widescreen TV, DVD player, FREE internet, selection of DVDs and books for you to enjoy.(Please note that we cannot be held responsible for the disruption of internet access caused by internet providers)
Kitchen
The beech kitchen is small but well equipped and has a two ring electric hob, a combination oven/ grill, a washing machine, fridge-freezer, kettle and cafetière.

There is a dining table for two people in the living area.

There is a private underground car park with an allocated parking space available for free.
Public Transport
The 98 airport bus runs from the Airport through the centre of Nice and terminates in the Port, by the 'Riquier' train station. This is your nearest bus stop. It is just round the corner from your apartment. Visit www.lignesdazur.com for more information.

The total price of this apartment includes crisp white Egyptian cotton linen for one double bed and fluffy cotton towels for 2 people. If you require extra linen and towels for the sofa bed there is an extra 30 € charge.

'Le Virginie' is one if the best seafood restaurants in Nice. It only sells seafood in the autumn and winter when it is caught locally. It has a good menu all year round with fish and meat dishes. It can look quite expensive with its large round table and pristine table cloths but the menu is well priced and the atmosphere is relaxed with locals enjoying great food.

The friendly & informative welcome made for a happy holiday start. The apartment was comfortable, spotlessly clean and well equipped. Bus & train stops were around the corner; a supermarket 10mins. away; and the old town and beach just 15 min walk away. Evening sunsets from the balcony were enjoyable; the only downside being the traffic noise from the street below. All contact with “Your Nice Apartment” was helpful and pleasant. This all helped make for a really enjoyable and memorable 3 week stay in Nice.
