Jeanette is on the most exclusive seafront promenade stretch on Nice peninsula beneath the famous chateau. It lies between the famous Old Town and the grand old Port. You will find the most expensive and sought after hotels here as you are in possibly the best location in Nice opposite the sea with the finest views of the turquoise blue Mediterranean. Jeanette is lovingly decorated and is as beautiful as the views from her balcony.
Neighbourhood
One location with two doorsteps! Turn right out of your door and walk a couple of minutes around the corner and you will find the Old Town in all its glory. Enjoy the Cours Saleya with its daily flower, food and antique market and quaint cobbled streets bursting with local life, music, restaurants, cafés, ice cream parlours and brasseries. Turn left and you are in Nice Old Port. The Port is the place to go if you’re in the know. It has a friendly and relaxed atmosphere, a good selection of restaurants and everyone comes here to relax over a drink at the end of the day to watch the sunset. The best beach for you is on the Old Town side and is called Castel Plage. There is a public section and also one of the best beach bars/ restaurants if you would like a sun lounger and waiter service.
Bedrooms
The bedroom is at the quiet rear of the apartment and has a fresh French inspired style with marble flooring, fitted wardrobes, a king size bed and double glazed windows that back onto the cool chateau side. Because there are windows on both aspects of the building and you are on the seafront there is a cool breeze throughout the apartment.
Bathrooms
The bathroom is simple, modern and functional with white tiling, grey floors and a full bath with over head shower, vanity sink, bidet and toilet. There is a door leading through to a small enclosed balcony at the rear with washing machine and room to dry your clothes.
Living Area
This is truly a room with a view looking out over the blue sea and Mont Boron and Elton John's Nice pied a terre! The large living area is flooded with light from the large French windows and doors leading out onto the balcony. The decor has been carefully chosen to blend in with the traditional grand Nicois feel of the building with marble floors and ornate chandeliers whilst adding a little pizazz with bright accessories to ensure the interior is as captivating as the view from the balcony. Two large leather sofas, a study area and entertainment system with a 32” LCD TV (English and French channels), blue ray DVD player/ CD player and internet access. The French doors lead out onto the balcony where you'll find a table for two looking out over the palm trees and sea. A rare treat for such a centrally located apartment.
Kitchen
There is a large separate kitchen come dining room which again is a rare find. It is modern and well equipped with white gloss units an electric four ring hob, combination oven/ grill, extractor fan, dishwasher, large fridge freezer, microwave, kettle, toaster and cafetière.
Dining Area
We imagine you will be eating out and enjoying a glass of wine or two on the balcony and enjoying the unique view. But, if you fancy a change or hit upon a rare rainy day then the views from inside are no less stunning as the table for four is positioned in front of the large French windows with sea views.

Just below the apartment is the relaxing cafe bar / brasserie called 'La Shounga'. Here you can enjoy cocktails with a delicious meal at a very reasonable price - the friendly service from Patrick and Stephane is second to none and you can easily while away a couple of hours relaxing in the garden furniture whilst watching the sun slowly dip behind the palm trees.

We had a lovely stay in ‘Jeanette’ in July 2011. It’s a really comfortable apartment in a great location. We loved sitting on the balcony watching the boats going in and out of the port, and walking to Castel beach for a swim every morning and evening. It’s also only a short walk from Cours Saleya where you can buy amazing fruit and veg in the mornings and do some serious people-watching at the bars and restaurants in the evenings! Although the apartment fronts on to the port and the Promenade des Anglais, the bedroom is at the back, so it’s blissfully cool and quiet. The kitchen was well equipped, the bathroom nice, and the TV/DVD combo better than ours at home! Highly recommended for comfort, style, and an amazing location.
