Just walk out of the apartment and you’ll find yourself wandering through the maze of narrow cobbled streets overflowing with the finest pasta and ice cream vendors, patisseries, boulangeries, boutiques, bistros and restaurants. The famous Cours Saleya market place is only a 5 minute walk away, selling fresh produce, flowers and antiques on Mondays. You only need to walk a further sixty seconds and you will find yourself on the Promenade and the long stretching pebble beach.

Parking
Free parking in Nice can be difficult to find. There is a pay as you go underground carpark at the Place du Palais, the entrance is on Rue Alexandre Mari. There is also one on Avenue Jean Jaurès called Promenade du Paillon. Go to www.plan-nice.org for a map of all car parks in Nice.
Public Transport
The 98 airport bus runs from the Airport through the centre of Nice and terminates in the Port. Bus stop 'Cathédrale - Vieille Ville' is your nearest bus stop. Gare SNCF Nice Ville train station is a good 20 minute walk. But you can use the tram. Tram stop 'Opéra' is your closest stop. This is at the bottom of Rue de la Préfecture on Avenue Jean Jaurès. It is less than a 5 minute journey to the train station. Visit www.lignesdazur.com for more information. Taxi rank Hotel Meridien is closest and is opposite McDonald’s at the Hotel Meridien. Taxis can also pick up/drop off at your request at Place du Palais, very close to your rental apartment.

This cool, chic cellar bar serves an exquisite array of champagnes for when you feel like spoiling yourself.
