Neighbourhood
Cimiez is known by locals as THE neighbourhood for chic living and this apartment more than delivers with stunning views from Mont Boron Chateaux and Elton John’s villa in the East, across the Mediterranean to West Nice and the hills to the North. A quiet neighbourhood means you can sleep soundly, with windows open waking only to the sound of birds and scents of eucalyptus, pine and olive trees in the garden below. Both Matisse and Chagall Museums are nearby as is a wonderful Monastery, Roman Arena and Matisse Park. Around the corner is your local Bakery, Butcher, Newsagent, Post Office, Bank and other local shops and a large ‘Monoprix’ Supermarket is just a 10 min walk. Those who want more apartment for their money and to enjoy elegant relaxation and private free sunbathing on your own balcony from time to time to make a change from the busy beaches will enjoy Antoinette. It is easy to get to the beach and old town - a 25-30 min walk or very short 1 Euro bus ride (buses 15 and 22 leave every 10 minutes) take you straight to ‘Place Masséna’ the central square of Nice and a minute from the beach.
Bedrooms
2 large double bedrooms, nearly equal in size. One with a super king sized bed, TV with built in DVD, large built-in cupboards, 2 bedside cabinets, dressing table and beautiful French parquet floors. Large doors open to a balcony overlooking the Mediterranean with electrically powered shutters and awnings. The second bedroom has twin beds that can be pushed together or kept apart depending on your needs. 2 bedside cabinets each with a bedside light, a chest of drawers, radio / CD player and within this room is also a white and chrome desk and white leather chair. With 200 Mb internet access and Wi-Fi this can become an office away from home if needed or simply a great place to surf the Internet. This bedroom also has large doors leading directly to the balcony, electric shutters and awnings and golden parquet floors.
Bathrooms
Some bathrooms make you want to luxuriate in the pampering experience and this is one of them. A whirlpool bath and power shower, large vanity unit with basin and mirror, soft floor-lighting through polished wood floors for when you want a long soak and spot lighting above for shaving or make up application. This is an elegant and ample bathroom.
Living Area
Italian 3 seater-sofa and a luxurious leather chair with footstool are waiting for you to sink into and watch spectacular sunrises and sunsets in this spacious, airy living area. Large doors around the entire living area open up to the balcony making you constantly feel like part of the stunning views - without the fishbowl element as there is no other apartment to overlook you. Two sun-loungers on the balcony and many sun mattresses ensure sun worshippers are well catered for. A 42” HDTV with surround sound, PS3 games console and HD DVD player will keep you entertained. Public Transport
Buses are cheap, reliable and quick. The nearest bus stop is on Boulevard Cimiez - a 2 min walk from the apartment – bus no.s 15 & 22 are every 10 mins and take you - in just a few - to Place Massena, next to the Promenade Anglais, the beach and the sea at a cost of 1 Euro. The train station ‘Nice Gare’ is a 15 min walk from where you can start trips to Monaco, Italy and Cannes.

Leaving this apartment can be difficult as it is easy to sunbathe and relax all day long but for those keen to explore there is much to see locally including the Chagall and Matisse Museums which receive over 100,000 visitors per year. A less frequented charm worth a visit is the Franciscan Monastery, Church, Museum and Gardens, still run by monks who live and work there. The Church was renovated in 1850 and the gardens are tendered with precision all year round but are most stunning in spring when the rose beds and magnolia trees are at their best.

The Antoinette apartment is absolutely beautiful, you feel welcome from the minute you walk in the door. The balcony wraps the apartment offering somewhere to sunbath (in complete privacy). In the evening it’s a great place to drink a glass of wine (or several bottles in my case) with great friends. The fabulous lounge was made for entertaining or in my case, complete relaxation watching movies. The local area offers a number of great shops, jump on a bus and you are in the centre. I love this apartment and have some fantastic memories from my weekends there. If you want a fabulous apartment with all the comforts of home, then I would recommend it to anyone.
