Free live music fills the streets for one night a year in Nice. This music lovin city needs no excuse to embrace a good ole celebration and fete de la musique is one of its liveliest annual events.

The global festival is held on the night of the summer solstice, June 21st. Music of all genres plays in the streets for free whether it be professional or amateur in 350 cities across the globe. In Nice, this is the chance for people to dance and party in the streets and there really is something for everyone, from jazz to classical, rock to electro. Wonder the streets and take it all in.

The full line-up is in That’s Nice monthly what’s on guide that is in your villa or apartment when you arrive. But to give you an idea of a couple of the most popular locations.

Place Garibaldi – a more chilled out atmosphere with orchestra, jazz and folk from 3pm – 11pm
Rue de la Prefecture – Rock and big loud crowds 8pm to midnight.
