London is a multi-cultural hub with an eclectic mix of restaurants and food to choose from. It's definitely not all 'fish n chips' - although you must not miss out on the UK's most famous dish.
Wahaca is one of our favourite restaurants of the moment. Authentic Mexican market food, made quickly and at a good price. There are now several restaurants across London – the closest for YNA guests would be Covent Garden and Soho. Wahaca does not take bookings, simply turn up, grab a seat and fill your belly with spicy and delicious Mexican food sourced locally and ethically.

Golden Union Fish Bar If you’re going to try Fish and Chips in London and let’s face it why wouldn’t you? We suggest you find a decent Chippy. Our recommendations would be the Golden Union fish bar in Soho which serves great fish and chips. The portions are big and the staff are friendly so all you need is a cuppa tea to go with it and you have a real slice of London.

M Manze For that traditional London comfort food of Pie and Mash (and if you’re feeling up to it Jellied Eels as well) we would suggest M Manzes. Opened in 1902 it is one of the Oldest pie houses in London and still uses the same recipes for its pies today. If you are in the mood for real Cockney themed evening then this is the place to go

Punch & Judy Pub: When you are in London you must sample the traditional London Pub. A pint and some hearty pub fayre are as much a part of London as the houses of Parliament. There are of course, thousands of London pubs spread throughout the Capital so if you don’t have the time to explore them all we suggest heading to the Punch and Judy Pub in The Market at Covent Garden where you can enjoy a drink and be entertained by the talented street performers who congregate there daily.

Gordons WIne Bar: If you’re looking for somewhere to have a drink and relax whilst taking in a little London history we would recommend heading for Gordons Wine bar just up from Embankment Tube station. This candle lit cellar bar first opened for business in 1890 making it possible Londons oldest wine bar, and very little has changed inside except for the array of wines that are now being served. Gordons only sells wine so don’t go in expecting a cold beer, do go in if you enjoy a warm candlel lit atmosphere that transports you back over 100 years.
