Hire a car and the dramatic Gorge du loup is easily accessible for a day trip. Immerse yourself in the rich culture and history from the art galleries of Matisse and Picasso to the Palais Princier in Monaco, and the Italianate past that is visible throughout the eastern part of the Riviera. With Italy a thirty minute train ride away a day trip is a must.

One of the best kept secrets is the Southern Alps. In an hour and half you can be skiing in the resorts of Isola 2000 or Auron. So take your pick from sun, sea, snow, ski, countryside and culture and enjoy the variety of the French Riviera.
